New Horizons Retirement Community is a one of New England's finest and most respected independent and assisted living communities. Come and visit this wonderful, friendly place, where more than 400 seniors now enjoy each other and enjoy life. And while you are there, talk with some of the residents and ask their opinions about New Horizons. Some will want to give you a very long answer. The video below offers a great deal of information and gives the viewer a glimpse inside the warm, welcoming community at New Horizons. In 2015, New Horizons at Marlborough was awarded the “Best of Assisted Living in Marlborough” award for receiving consistently high ratings on SeniorAdvisor.com, a national ratings and reviews site for senior care and services. Winners of this honor rank in the top 1 percent of senior care providers nationwide. |

There are very few things more important to the full enjoyment of our retirement years than good health, companionship, and comfort in the place we choose to live. Better retirement communities such as this offer a country inn-like atmosphere at a cost that is almost always less than the overall cost of living alone in a home. Every day, the choices we make determine the quality of our lives. As we grow older, it is often desirable to alter our housing arrangements while adapting to our changing circumstances. Locating a community that provides a caring, convenient environment, and meets our personal needs, becomes more important with each passing year. Although there is often a short waiting list for new residents, that usually means a waiting time of no more than one or two months. |

Our 40 acre campus is much more than
a housing development for seniors. Rather, it is a beautiful community
where programs, recreation, and services are designed specifically for
individuals. Our large, indoor heated swimming pool is only one of the
features many residents use to maintain their vitality and their interest
in continuing to live a full and active life. Although New Horizons is
a completely non-sectarian private facility, there are weekly Protestant
and Jewish religious services and daily Catholic Mass in a beautiful,
140-seat chapel. Living here will enable many to age-in-place and postpone
or avoid altogether any need to move in with family members or to a nursing
home in later years.

Home-cooked meals perhaps do the most for our fine reputation, because the exquisite dining rooms always seem to become the center of everyone's attention - at least three times every day. Meal quality, variety, nutrition, and overall appeal become extraordinarily important as we enjoy our later years. There is abundant free parking for residents who drive, and a very efficient private bus that many residents use for local-area shopping trips, medical appointments, etc., even if they still drive. Of course, many services may also be brought "to the door" for those residents who wish. Domino's and Papa Gino's pizza deliveries come into our neighborhood, just like they visit every other neighborhood in town! |

Our community is located on 40 acres of rolling meadows and woodlands, surrounded by deeded conservation land. Abundant animal life, including wild turkeys, foxes and deer, frequent the property. We are also a fully state-certified assisted living/continuing care retirement community (CCRC) for people 62 years and over who do not require the type of extensive nursing services typically associated with nursing homes. Furthermore, Country Living in Marlborough is a rental community with no sort of endowment requirement. There is, however, a 100-percent-refundable $30,000 entrance fee.
For those aged 65 and beyond who are fully independent in all respects, consider The Meadows. This fine 154-unit supplement to the continuum of care at New Horizons offers units from 800 to more than 2,000 square feet in two recently constructed buildings, and three smaller buildings, directly adjacent to New Horizons.
